Jones Lawrence Adams
Was born on February 10, 1810. He was the son of William "Devil Bill" Adams and Rebecca Lawrence Adams. His Grandfather Feathergill Adams,was a pioneer Baptist preacher who constructed a mill and meetinghouse on Sugar Creek in Garrard County before the close of the 18th century. Jones Adams was raised in Rockcastle County. Jones retained his ties to Garrard County and it was there he would marry Caroline Sartain in 1829. She was the daughter of a tobacco exportor operating out of the Quantico river port (on the Kentucky River) at the mouth of Sugar Creek. After her early death he married Catherine Burdett, daughter of Nelson Burdett, an early Sheriff of Garrard County and member of one of the wealthiest and most distinguished families in northern Garrard County. Jones became one of the more wealthy land owners in the County. During the years following the Civil War, owning extensive tracts of land in the vicinity of Camp Dick Robinson some of the best farmland in the State. He became a practicing physician before 1870 and noteworthy citizen of the County. He died on March 15, 1885 and is buried in the Cemetery in Lancaster.

Alex was born in Garrard County March 1837, He was a self taught painter and lived and worked (from 1870-1890) in Garrard and neighboring Counties. There is no records ever found that he married. Died in April 1896.
